DPP
What is a Digital Product Passport?
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is an electronic record containing essential information about a product — including materials, production, usage, and end-of-life options such as recycling or reuse. DPPs help businesses and consumers make informed decisions while supporting circular practices.
The EU will require Digital Product Passports for key industries by 2027, starting with textiles, batteries, and electronics, as part of a wider push to reduce waste and improve product sustainability across Europe.
You can read more about EU’s new regulations regarding Digital Product Passports here.

The passport must include product-specific information, covering the model, batch, or individual item.

OUR SOLUTION
What ShareLabel® offers
The ShareLabel® platform by Rudholm Group simplifies garment management by assigning a unique identity to each product through a QR code or NFC chip embedded in care labels. Acting as a “digital passport,” this ensures authenticity while enabling seamless integrations and localisation.
For returns, ShareLabel® streamlines the process by allowing instant access to product history, such as identifying faults or defects. Integrated with RFID technology, it further enhances supply chain efficiency by providing accurate inventory tracking, reducing overstocking, and automating distribution operations.
INTEGRATION
Seamless System Integration
Rudholm offers integration with a wide range of systems to optimise and streamline your Digital Product Passport (DPP) workflows. By connecting directly to your existing platforms, we enrich DPPs with valuable data — including supply chain traceability, marketing content, upsell opportunities, and more.
For added flexibility, we also provide secure API access to support external integrations and custom solutions.

About DPP
This is a small text section
Digital Product Passports (DPP) provide comprehensive product transparency, ensuring compliance with upcoming regulations while enhancing traceability. They support sustainability initiatives by offering insights into materials, production, and end-of-life processes. Additionally, DPPs build consumer trust and enable brands to integrate digital marketing and authentication tools.
DPP technology utilises digital identifiers, such as QR codes or NFC tags, linked to a secure cloud-based platform. These identifiers store key product data, allowing real-time access to information on sourcing, environmental impact, and regulatory compliance. This ensures seamless traceability and a reliable method for both brands and consumers to verify product authenticity.
DPP is the overarching concept of a digital record that tracks a product’s lifecycle, while ShareLabel is Rudholm Group’s own DPP solution. ShareLabel not only fulfils the fundamental DPP requirements but also offers advanced features such as brand authentication, marketing integration, and enhanced customer engagement tools, making it a comprehensive solution for businesses.
DPPs offer a powerful platform for brand storytelling and consumer engagement. With ShareLabel, brands can leverage digital passports to provide interactive content, personalised offers, and sustainability narratives. By incorporating unique digital experiences, such as loyalty programs or exclusive product information, businesses can enhance customer relationships and drive conversions.
