Rudholm Group

SUSTAINABILITY

Our sustainability belief

Everything we do at Rudholm Group is a commitment to our sustainability belief. We integrate conscious practices and innovative solutions to ensure a future with reduced environmental impact while delivering exceptional value to our partners.

STRATEGIC ESG INTEGRATION

Aligning ESG with our Business Strategy

The Rudholm Group is using ESGR principles to drive improvements, ensuring responsible business practices that foster long-term success and resilience.

Our organisation is implementing a risk-based due diligence system using the double materiality matrix, a comprehensive tool for assessing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impacts of our operations. This matrix evaluates both financial materiality—how environmental and social issues affect financial performance—and environmental and social materiality, which examines the impact of operations on society and the environment. By prioritising key ESG issues, this approach enables informed decision-making that addresses sustainability challenges, meets stakeholder expectations, and aligns corporate strategy with responsible practices. It ensures effective risk management from both internal and external perspectives.

At Rudholm, “We Care” encompasses three key pillars—people, place, and products—which guide our daily work.

People

We are committed to upholding ethical, fair, and inclusive practices throughout our supply chains and organisation. By fostering diversity, ensuring compliance with labour standards, and promoting well-being, we build a culture of respect and equity. With a focus on social responsibility, we engage our teams and partners in maintaining a safe, transparent, and supportive working environment.

Place

Our governance strategy is built on transparency, integrity, and robust oversight. Through diligent risk management, strict adherence to anti-corruption laws, and comprehensive legal compliance, we are working towards ensuring responsible operations at every level of the business. Supported by diverse leadership and thorough reporting, we aim to cultivate trust and accountability, reinforcing our commitment to strong corporate governance.

Products

Our innovation drives long-term environmental responsibility. We address climate change and mitigate environmental risks by adopting the latest technologies and following regulatory standards.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Beyond Greenwashing: Real Actions, Real Impact

At Rudholm Group, we prioritize sustainability by demonstrating it through our actions rather than using terms like “sustainable” or “eco-friendly” in our product descriptions. Our leadership in this field speaks for itself.

We are working towards fully complying with the EU Empowering Consumers to Green Transition Directive (ECGT) approved in January 2024. This directive mandates clear, verifiable information about the environmental impact of products, ensuring consumers make informed choices based on facts, not marketing language.

All our products are certified, and every claim is backed by internationally recognised certificates or test reports. This guarantees transparency and trust in the solutions we offer.

GHG

Reducing Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions

At Rudholm Group, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact across our operations. This involves how we are sourcing materials, optimising energy efficiency, and implementing waste reduction strategies. By integrating sustainability into our business model, we not only adhere to regulatory standards but also contribute positively to the environment. Our focus on environmental responsibility underscores our belief that safeguarding the planet is crucial for the enduring success of our business and the well-being of future generations.

Our Commitment is Reflected in the Following Actions:

  • Comprehensive data collection in Scope 1,2 & 3
  • Rudholm Roadmap (action plan for reducing GHG emissions)
  • Country-specific reports
  • Goal Setting to reduce emissions
  • Tracking, action plans, and reporting
  • Updating base year data

Our key strategies:

SOCIAL

Social Responsibility at the Core of Our Business

At Rudholm Group, we acknowledge our significant impact on our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate, understanding that this influence is crucial for creating a healthy business environment. We are committed to initiatives that enhance employee engagement, increase customer satisfaction, and strengthen our community relations, forming the core of our social framework.

Ensuring Compliance Through Leading Certifications

By prioritising social responsibility, we aim to bolster our reputation, maintain a high level of employee commitment and loyalty, as well as deepen our connections with stakeholders. Our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is complemented by a strong commitment to labor and human rights, ensuring that we uphold ethical practices that foster positive relationships with all. Through these initiatives, Rudholm Group strives to make a lasting, positive contribution to society and enhance overall social well-being.

GOVERNANCE

Fostering Accountability and Diversity in Leadership

Rudholm Group International AB, a subsidiary of Rudholm Group Holding AB, operates with its own management team consisting of key personnel. Jonas Wollin, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and owner of the company, actively participates in the parent company’s board meetings. These meetings, which include family members and two annually appointed external members, ensure diverse and independent perspectives. It provides strategic direction and oversight, integrating ESGR principles into the company’s overall strategy to align our goals with long-term business objectives. Upholding high standards of integrity and ethical conduct, the board fosters a culture of accountability and responsibility throughout the organisation. The board is dedicated to promoting gender diversity, with women constituting 50% of its members.

Governance in our supply chain

Rudholm Group holds an A/B membership with Sedex, a provider of data-driven insights, accessible tools, and services aimed at enhancing ethical and social compliance within our supply chains. This membership strengthens our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and outcomes, offering a framework for evaluating our business practices and performance across various sustainability and ethical issues.

To evaluate and improve the ethical and responsible practices of supply chains worldwide, we utilise SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), a globally recognised auditing method developed by Sedex. Through SMETA, we aim to ensure our supply chains adhere to the Rudholm Group Code of Conduct.
