In our August 2024 global drop, we’re featuring packaging and labelling printed with Algae Ink™. This innovative, renewable ink is derived from repurposed algae biomass and other agricultural waste sources.

Our partner Living Ink Technologies transforms this biomass into a carbon-negative black pigment that offers a sustainable alternative to traditional inks, effectively reducing our reliance on non-renewable resources.

Algae Ink™ stands out for several reasons:

· Vegetable-Based Composition: Contains 40-55% vegetable content, significantly more than the 30% typically found in soybean inks. This high vegetable content diminishes our dependence on fossil fuels.

· Vibrant Black Colour: Delivers a rich, high-performance black colour, making it ideal for labelling and packaging applications.

· Renewable Source: Sourced from repurposed algae biomass, this ink helps minimise waste and promotes a circular economy by reusing materials that would otherwise go unused.

· Carbon-Negative Footprint: The algae used in the ink captures more carbon during its growth than is emitted during production, making Algae Ink™ a carbon-negative option.

By incorporating Algae Ink™ into our product line, we are committed to driving responsible solutions and reducing our environmental footprint. Join us in making eco-conscious choices through smarter material use and embracing the future of sustainable packaging.
